Higher Education Institutions and the Institute of Brunei Technical Education, IBTE, under the Ministry of Education, 18th January morning, held a Sunat Hajat Prayer, Reading of Surah Yasin and Special Doa ceremony for the health and well-being of His Majesty. The ceremony was held at the Masjid Universiti, Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

Among those present was Doctor Awang Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary for Higher Education.  Meanwhile, a Special Doa for the health and well-being of His Majesty will be recited every day during the morning assembly or at appropriate times at all Higher Education Institutions and IBTE, including officers, staff and students of Brunei Darussalam overseas, starting 20th of January 2026.
